Well let's start with... moved from Tennessee to Indiana. Bought a little farm with just over 5 acres. There is a small orchard with apple, pear, peach plum and a couple cherry trees. Two barns one of which is VERY BIG and a good size one farther back in the pasture. Huge yard so the dogs have a lovely place to run and play and the cats have plenty of space as well. Of course that tells you that all the critters moved with us.
There is a small house also on the property where Harold's mom lives.
We adopted 2 wild mustangs in Sept of 2009. They are doing fine and get along well with the other 2 quarter horses. Harold built a pond for the girls so they would have a place to cool off in the summer, 3 of the girls love it!!!One of the mustangs (Gypsy ) wants nothing to do with getting in the water. drinking from the edge is fine but she IS NOT GOING IN... When he put this pond in he made it with a island so that when we got ducks and geese they would have a place to be safe.
Winters in Indiana are a little more severe than Tennessee. We bought a GMC Yukon Denali all wheel drive because Harold did not want me driving the distance I do in my Nissan 300ZX or in his Cobra Mustang. Good thinking on his part as interstate 69 is a real nightmare in the winter. I guess you could say that I retired when we moved to Indy. My big brother has Alzheimer's disease,that was the reason for the move, to help look after him. It is about an hours drive one way so I am hopefully safer in a big vehicle.. Well not as big as a semi but close...
