first night off

This is my first night off in 6. Yes that's right I worked 6 nights straight. That is a total of 72 hours. Might not sound like a lot of hours. But in my job it sure fells like it. My partner quit when they were going to change him to the other night shift. So 2 new guys were hired. One for my shift, and 1 for the other. In the meantime another driver was fired. So we were still short drivers. I had my new partner(Gregg) for two nights on my shift. Think he is going to be okay. Then I had to work the other night shift and train that guy too. Not sure he will make it. Complained about the truck all night. Get used to it guy. Our equipment is far from up to snuff.

Any way, got 3 loads of laundry done, so I will have something to wear. With my job that only requires warm stuff and blue jeans. Not like planning an outfit for an office. Harold got to work 2 days last week so that was also good news.

Haven't had time or energy to go and see the girls. Harold has been feeding and spoiling them for me. Hopefully this week I wont have to work so much.

It has been so cold here,it takes it's toll on you working outside. I don't even like opening the door to let the dogs out. Now that is LAZY!!
Yet as I look up at my wall in the office, I see the map of Scotland. My sister lives there, And it looks a long ways off and to far north to be warm there either. However we did have a little warm spell, that managed to confuse the daffodils. They were a pretty sight for a short time. Hope they go back to sleep and come back to stay soon.
